A Quote About Love

boy-couple-girl-love-separate-with-comma-Favim_com-213171 “It’s not that I don’t love you. It’s the sound I heard when I was 9 and my father slammed the door so hard behind him I swear to God it shook the whole house. For the next 3 years I watched my mother break her teeth on vodka bottles. I think he took her heart with him when he walked out. Her chest is empty, just a shattered mess or cracked ribs and depression pills. It’s not that I don’t love you. It’s all the blood in the sink. It’s the night that I spent 12 hours in the emergency room waiting to see if my sister was going to be okay, after the boy she loved, told her he didn’t love her anymore. It’s the crying, and the fluorescent lights, and white sneakers and pale faces and shaky breaths and blood. So much blood.

It’s not that I don’t love you. It’s the time that I had to stay up for two days straight with my best friend while she cried and shrieked and threw up on my bedroom floor because her tumblr_m6g7k2BbMR1r1qmpkboyfriend fucked his ex. I swear to God she still has tear streaks stained onto her cheeks. I think when you love someone, it never really goes away. It’s not that I don’t love you. It’s the six weeks we had a substitute in English because our teacher was getting divorced and couldn’t handle getting out of bed. When she came back she was smiling. But her hands shook so hard when she held her coffee, you could see that something was broken inside. And sometimes when things break, you can’t fix them. Nothing ever goes back to how it was. I got an A in English that year. I think her head was always spinning too hard to read any essays.

It’s not that I don’t love you.” It’s that I’m afraid.

Aria Day to Night – #MyVegasStyle

Aria Day Look:
Spray a little Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume before you head down to Lemongrass for lunch and cocktails and you will be set to go. Wearing this lace dress paired with a gold multi-chain necklace and stackable rings, with teal earrings to add some accent color to an overall neutral look will give you a hippie-goddess outfit, while still giving off an individualistic air that everyone strives for. A fringe bag and gladiator sandals finish off the look. While you’re at Lemongrass at the Aria, be sure to try the soft shell crab fried rice and some signature cocktails.
Aria Day
Aria Night Look:
After you’ve had your fill of delicious cuisine and drinks, switch out the gladiator sandals for some sky-high gladiator wedge heels. Not only will these wedges transform your outfit from a day to night look, but they will allow you to dance until the sun comes up at Haze Nightclub in comfort. Trade the simple accessories for some bold gold hoops and a teal chunky necklace, along with some bolder stackable rings. A small brown leather bag will trade the place of the fringe bag used during the day and instead of a pale pink lip, go bold with a deeper pink lip and blush, along with some false eyelashes. Top off the outfit with some Betsey Johnson perfume and you are ready to skip the line at Haze and walk straight in.

A Letter to My Immune System

Hi There Immune System,

I know you work very hard to keep me healthy all year, and I know you rarely let me get sick. And I do appreciate all that you do for me, I love not constantly being sick, and I love being healthy 98 percent of the year. But that 2 percent of the time that you do allow me do get ill, and pretty much die in bed while hating life sucks.

When I’m healthy, by God I am healthy, but when I’m sick, the world is ending and I want to kill everyone who I encounter and I pretty much think I am dying. In which is very possible because my whole body feels like it is shutting down.

But I do thank you for that 98 percent of the time that you take care of me.

And I love you.

Except for right now as I cough my lungs out and feel as if I will never be well again.

My Trip to Disneyland in Pictures

Many college students go wild on their Spring Breaks, but instead, I went to Disneyland with my perfect Little (from my sorority) and her best friend to celebrate her birthday! It was probably definitely more fun than getting wasted all break. I made amazing memories and became closer to the both of them. So here y’all go! My trip to Disneyland in pictures! This is a bit of a late post, sorry!

My Little and I about to watch The Wonderful World of Color and throwing what we know in front of the ferris wheel in California Adventure!

Waiting in line with to ride Splash Mountain! My Little is so perfect, she and I are obsessed with Starbucks. Can you say Gold Member?

Part 1 of my gift to my Little! Match Big and Little Mouse hats! She’s my little princess so of course hers has a crown!

Snapchatting in line for Pirate of the Carribbean! Did you know all the skulls in the ride used to be real? Now the only skull that is a real human skull is the one above the skull pirates bed!

Thank You, One and All

Do You Wanna Play A Game?

If you were the Card Czar in the scenario above, which card would you have picked?

CAH is a card game for adults, playing off the popular kid’s game Apple’s to Apple’s. The Card Czar is the player who pulls the black card, and reads it aloud. The other players lay down the response that they think the Card Czar will think is the funniest. You really have to know the other players’ sense of humor to win at this game, and you learn a lot about your friends, family, coworkers from playing this game with them!

You can buy the game for $25 and four additional expansion sets for $10 each, or the CAH creators give you the option to print the game for free. If you want to buy/print the game, check out the CAH website here.

Did you figure out which card you would have picked as the winner? Let me know in a comment below!

Calendars, Planners, Agendas, Oh My!

If you guys have read my About Me, then you will see that one of my many obsessions is Lilly Pulitzer. Among the many things she produces that I obsess over, are her agendas. In the past they have come in three sizes: Jumbo, Large and Small, and all are 17-month agendas. The size comparison between the three is below, starting from the left with a Jumbo, a Large, and finally a Small Agenda in the Tropical Pink Lulu print.  size2-1024x647

Personally, I prefer the Large Agenda (shown in the middle), because it is perfectly sized for all my planning needs. If you lead a busy life, an agenda is a must have. Agendas work perfectly for planning out future blog posts, keeping track of homework, and engagements you have to keep. Each agenda has a week-by-week layout for in-depth planning. If you are not in school, the Small Agenda would probably work perfectly because it is easy to tote around in a purse or handbag.

Two new agenda styles that are coming out are the Luxe Agenda and Monthly Planner. The Luxe Agenda is pretty much the same as the Large Agenda, but it has gold tipped pages and a flexible cover. The Monthly Planner is a 12-month planner that only features the months.

Another great agenda brand is Sakroots. It is a bit less preppy, but still very reliable and they make beautiful agendas! The agendas are 17-month as well, and are themed after different artist circles.
